Turtle Cake

14 oz. pkg. caramels
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 german chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. melted butter
1 c. milk chocolate chips
1 c. chopped pecans
2 eggs

Combine cake mix, eggs, nuts, and melted butter. Add 1/2 cup evaporated milk. Spread half of mixture in greased 13x9 pan. Bake about 7 minutes at 350°. Remove from oven to cool until not warm to touch. Melt caramels with remaining evaporated milk. Sprinkle chocolate chips on cake. Drizzle caramel over mixture. Spread remaining batter evenly. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Do not overbake.
