| 3 egg whites |
| 1/2 t. cream of tartar |
| 16 oz. powdered sugar |
| paste food coloring |
Beat egg whites at room temperature and cream of tartar in large mixing bowl at medium speed until foamy. Gradually add sugar, mixing well. Beat for 5 to 7 minutes. Tint as desired. Keep icing covered at all times with plastic wrap. Add food coloring as desired.
