| 3 egg whites |
| 1/4 t. cream of tartar |
| 6 T. sugar |
| 1/2 t. vanilla |
Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until foamy. Beat in sugar, 1 T. at a time. Beat until stiff and glossy. Beat in vanilla. Spread over hot pie filling, sealing to edge of crust. Bake at 400° about 10 minutes.
