Ham and Mandarin Salad

1 clove garlic, halved
2 c. cooked ham, finely cubed
1 c. thinly sliced celery
1/3 c. chopped green onion
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
11 oz. mandarin oranges, drained
1/4 t. pepper
1/3 c. mayonnaise
2 T. light cream
1 T. vinegar
crisp greens

Rub salad bowl with cut clove of garlic. Combine ham, celery, onion, walnuts, and orange segments in bowl, cover and chill. Just before serving, blend remaining ingredients and pour over ham mixture. Toss until well-coated. Serve on greens.
