| 3 c. water |
| 1/2 t. salt |
| 2 lb. fresh green beans, french cut |
| 1/2 c. slivered almonds |
| 3 T. butter, melted |
| 1 T. lemon juice |
| 1/2 t. salt |
Combine water and 1/2 t. salt; bring to boil. Add beans; return to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes; drain. Sauté almonds in butter until golden. Reduce heat; stir in lemon juice and 1/2 t. salt. Toss with beans.
