| 2 c. plus 2 T. flour |
| 2 c. sugar |
| 1/2 c. butter |
| 1/2 c. shortening |
| 3 T. cocoa |
| 1 c. water |
| 1/2 c. buttermilk |
| 1 t. vanilla |
| 2 eggs |
| 1 t. baking soda |
| 1/2 c. butter, melted |
| 3 T. cocoa |
| 6 T. milk |
| 1 box powdered sugar, sifted |
| 1 t. vanilla |
| 1/2 c. chopped pecans |
Stir together flour and sugar. Combine in pan and bring to boil butter, shortening, cocoa, and water. Pour over flour mixture and mix well. Add buttermilk, vanilla, eggs, and baking soda. Bake at 350° in 11x17 pan for 20 minutes, or until cake pulls away from side of pan. Combine remaining ingredients and frost.
