Cheese Scalloped Potatoes

2 lb. potatoes
12 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/4 c. green onion, sliced
3 T. butter
3 T. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1/4 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
1/4 t. celery seeds
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Peel potatoes and cut in to 1/4" slices. Cook in boiling water 5 minutes. Drain well. Place in lightly greased 10x6 baking dish. Sprinkle with bacon and onion. Melt butter in sauce pan over low heat. Add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add milk and cook over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Stir in salt, pepper, and celery seed. Remove from heat, add cheese, stirring until cheese melts. Pour sauce over potatoes. Cover and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
