| 1/2 c. butter |
| 2 c. sugar |
| 2 eggs |
| 4 c. (4-5) apples, pared and diced |
| 1 c. chopped nuts |
| 2 c. flour |
| 2 t. baking soda |
| 1/2 t. salt |
| 1 t. ground cinnamon |
| 1/4 t. ground nutmeg |
| 1/4 t. ground allspice |
Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs. Stir in apples and nuts. Stir dry ingredients together and blend into apple mixture. Mix until all flour is moistened. Spread into greased 13x9 pan. Bake about 1 hour at 325°. Serve with whipped or ice cream.
